Support Our Work

Be Part of Conservation and Community Action

Protecting nature is a shared responsibility. ASEPALECO’s conservation efforts are made possible through the support of individuals, communities, and organizations that believe in protecting forests, water sources, and biodiversity in the Nicoya Peninsula.

There are several ways to support our work through donations, volunteering, responsible visitation. Every contribution helps strengthen conservation actions and ensures the long term protection of natural ecosystems.

Donations

Financial contributions play a vital role in sustaining ASEPALECO’s conservation programs. Donations support activities such as forest protection, environmental education, scientific research, fire prevention brigades, and trail maintenance in the Karen Mogensen Reserve.

ASEPALECO offers multiple donation mechanisms to make contributing accessible, including online payment platforms, national transfers through SINPE, and international bank transfers.

Donations may be directed toward specific programs or general conservation efforts, helping ensure flexibility and long term impact.

Tax deductible donations available in USA, Canada, and The Netherlands.

Stay With Us

Supporting conservation can also happen through experience. By staying at the Karen Mogensen Ecolodge, visitors contribute directly to the protection and management of the Karen Mogensen Reserve.

Responsible ecotourism helps fund conservation programs while offering visitors the opportunity to experience nature in a meaningful and respectful way. Each visit supports environmental protection, local employment, and environmental education efforts.

Staying with us is a way to enjoy nature while supporting its conservation.

Volunteering

Volunteers are an essential part of ASEPALECO’s work. Through volunteering, individuals can actively participate in conservation, education, research, and community initiatives.

Volunteer opportunities vary depending on program needs and may include environmental education support, fire prevention and conservation activities, research and monitoring assistance, and community outreach.

Volunteer programs have defined time commitments and participation guidelines to ensure meaningful and effective collaboration.

Volunteering is a direct way to contribute time, skills, and commitment to conservation.
